You are dealt just 3 cards in this game, that’s why the hand ranking here have some differences from the play with traditional 5 card hands. It is happens because of the probabilities of making concrete hands. The hands are ranked in the next way – for the highest to the lowest:
- Straight Flush. 3 cards of the identical suit in sequence. For example, 5-6-7 of spades.
- Three of a Kind. 3 cards which have the same rank.
- Straight. 3 cards of different suits in sequence.
- Flush. 3 cards of equal suit.
- Pair. 2 cards of the same rank.

Ante Bonus

If your hand contains a pair or better you are a winner. In case when it doesn’t have a pair you will lose. On average you have a chance to receive a pair in one case from four. The Pair Plus bet is paid according to the pay table fixed by a certain casino.

3 Card Poker is coming to light very fast. Today it is one of the most popular new table poker games. Gamblers admit that Three Card Poker is not a difficult game but at the same time it brings a sea of fun.
When playing this game you should use a single pack of 52 cards. Three Card Poker in fact represents two games in one. There are the Play/Ante and the Pair Plus games. In the first one you are playing against the dealer in order to know whose hand is the highest. In the second one you are betting on if you will be dealt a pair or better or not. More often than not in casinos you can wager on either of the games but there are the casinos that ask you to make an Ante Bet in order to wager the Pair Plus part of the game.
The Play
There are 3 wagering circles opposite each seat. The top wagering circle is known as Pair Plus where the gambler puts a bet on the pair plus game. There are 2 circles below which are known as Ante and Play for the base game. The game begings with the gambler making a bet in the Pair Plus and/or Ante circle that is equal to the table minimum.
When all the gamblers have made their wagers, each gambler will get from the dealer a three card hand. It is dealt with the help of the Shuffle Master machine. Play starts with the gambler who seats the first to the dealer’s left and goes on clockwise around the table.
Ante/Play
If a gambler has made a wager on the Ante they should decide whether to fold or play after having a glance at their hand. In case when the gambler folds he confiscates their Ante bet. In case when the gamblers want to go on they should make one more wager in the Play circle that is equal to their Ante wager.
When all the gamblers have decided, the dealer will turn his 3 card hand. Now he needs to “qualify” with a hand of Queen or other bur not lower for play to proceed. If his hand does not include a Queen or higher all gamblers still active in the hand will get money equally for their Ante bet and their wager on the Play will be given back to them.
In case when the hand of the dealer does qualify their hand is paralleled with the gambler’s hand. If your hand is higher than the dealer’s one you will get money equally for your Ante and Play wagers. But if his hand beats yours than you lose both wagers. A tie happens very rarely then the gambler wins the hand.
